Handmade oddities by Juliet Brando in Hastings, East Sussex, UK.
The imps first came about after I had adopted a feral cat. She was gradually tamed through care, love, and many hours of my reading Terry Pratchett books to her in a calming voice. Her recovery was not smooth or linear. She has had her problems. After a bout of PTSD, during which she injured my legs and left me largely immobile for a week, I became fascinated with polymer clay video tutorials online.
I could already see the imp face in my mind.
The imps existed just beyond the veil, and longed to exist in the material realm.
With the help of my little feral cat, I began making imps, and found I couldn’t stop.
